Remembering Birthdays

Complete Kit:   BD105 $300

Another birthday? Celebrate! Each candle represents a year, with all of the work and play, sadness and joy, laughter and tears that it took to live it. Each birthday offers an opportunity to reflect on those years, and to make plans for the candle to come. So, many happy returns!

This kit offers a wide variety of ideas for discussion, celebration, and fun. Use this kit with intergenerational groups and families to promote understanding of what aging is all about. Help stamp out those tired old over-the-hill jokes!

Remembering Birthdays complete kit comprises:

Media Presentation on DVD with 12-page Guide in Binder. "Celebrate!" birthdays past, present and future, anticipated, memorable, forgettable and fun with poetry, music, international traditions, and plans for the next year. (10 minutes) The DVD is closed-captioned.

Sing-Along Songs and More on CD with Guide in Binder. Sing-along songs: "When You're Smiling," "Get Up and Go," "Grandfather's Clock," "Turn Around," "When You and I Were Young, Maggie," and "The More We Get Together." Plus the history of birthdays and one more song to listen to.

Book. "Birthdays-5-a-Day" lists five people who share a birthday on each day of the year. Look up your own special day, and those of your group members. How are you like those who share your birthday? How are you different? Includes lots of suggestions how to have fun with this book. Spiral bound, 80 pages.
